"After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you." -1 Peter 5.10
Verse 9 addresses the idea of suffering. Any battle, be it physical, mental, spiritual, whether it is for your life, your health, a relationship, any battle at all, involves some kind of suffering. Peter reminds his readers that everyone in the world experiences suffering because of the enemy we face; however, he does not end on a not of discouragement. As Peter discusses suffering, his continuous message is one of eternal hope in God.
After you have suffered for a little while- Suffering is real, but suffering is temporary
the God of all grace- God is the source of grace
who called you to His eternal glory in Christ- God has a plan for your life
will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you- God is at work in you to bring about His plan
We're going to suffer, so lets take a look at 1 Peter 5.10 and learn how to face it.
Fight the lion, 1 Peter 5.1-11
TO GOD ALONE BE THE GLORY!
